The Met Gala is arguably the most fashionable event. It gives the chance for the stars to experiment with new looks and go all out, unlike the Oscars. This year’s theme was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. There were lots of headpieces, gold, red, ornate designs/patterns, and Rihanna even dressed like the Pope! Even though there were out-of-the-box styles, there were still plenty of trends to follow.
We’re sharing our favorite Met Gala hair trends. What was your favorite look?
#AmandaSeyfried @Mingey wore a #Prada asymmetric shoulder gown in yellow silk mouseline plissé with gold patina, embellished with golden flowers and metal beading at the empire waistline, while attending The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala celebrating the opening of “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” in New York. ⠀ #PradaPeople ⠀ #MetGala⠀ #MetGala2018 #MetHeavenlyBodies
We’re loving Amanda Seyfried’s voluminous, ‘70s-inspired waves. This is the perfect style for any summer wedding or event.
We’re used to Jennifer Lopez with long hair, but we definitely love her blunt bob. Shorter cuts have been all the rage lately, so if you’re looking for style inspiration, try this slicked-back look.
Kim Kardashian is known for her major hair transformations. From platinum blonde to icy blue to a lob and everything in between, she is no stranger to the hair drama. And her style at the Met Gala was exactly that: DRAMA. A high, half-up-half-down ponytail is an easy way to make hair look voluminous (add extensions, like Kim, for even more).
This is another great summer style for weddings and events. A middle part with lots of volume and clips is as glamorous as it is simple.
We can always count on Zendaya for amazing hair. This look is no exception! A textured bob with bangs is a major trend right now. The auburn color adds an extra punch we love.
Ruby Rose has always had a pixie cut, but we love that everything was combed forward to mimick bangs. She looks unrecognizable!
