Have you ever wondered why there are so many hair brushes all over the place at Tarro? Each stylist has their favorite, but what brushes are you supposed to use when styling at home?

Check out which brushes are best for specific hair types and styling:

Paddle Brush

Paddle brushes are great for straight hair, detangling, and keeping hair together when styling.

Round Brush

Round brushes are great for creating volume when blow drying whether at the top of your head or the ends for a nice wave effect.

Wooden Bristle Brush

This brush distributes oils in your hair to promote growth. This is best used on dry hair.

Wide-Tooth Comb

Effective at getting tangles out if you have long hair. Normally used on wet hair, a wide-tooth comb will make a world of a difference when it comes to blow drying later on. Remember, you shouldn’t use a regular brush on wet hair anyways.

Teaser Brush

Creates volume like the round brush does, but a teaser brush is best for dry styling. Perfect for bad hair days or taming flyaways for a bun or ponytail.

If you have more questions, be sure to ask your stylist the next time you’re in!
